Before I moved here to Argentina, I received a lovely box of Italian threads from Aurifil. Some to try and some to share with my readers. So far, I've been in love with the number 50 thread. As I said in my last post, it's the perfect thread weight for appliqué. I'm using it to hand stitch my circles, and I also tried it with my clamshells project which is slowly but surely coming along as well.
I also have my eyes on the wool thread thinking of an embroidery project involving more birds.
If you want to give these threads a try, leave me a comment as I'm giving away five of these lovely packages. Each set has a delicious sampler of Aurifil threads. I'll leave this giveaway open for a whole week.

I have a new found love for these threads. I would love to be able to figure out which ones I really like the most. The local shops around my area have a limited supply. I've heard that the 40 is a good weight for just about everything.
