Circles/ Círculos

Posting, I love posting and chatting with crafty friends on-line, but lately that has been impossible as my internet connection is poor, weak, and stinky. The good thing about it is that I've been truly concentrating in sewing, and saving the little moments of good internet connection for sending out embroidery patterns around the world. Thanks so much for never forgetting about my embroidery patterns always available at my etsy store.

Remember my post about Pat Bravo? and the quilt without a “cutter”?? off course you do, after all the chit-chat about the terrible word I wrote on it * blushing *... Well, I've been working on it really hard on that quilt, and I've been enjoying every minute of it as well.

I chose to work with circles [once again,] and appliqué with the same technique I used on this other quilt. This quilt will have lots of hand quilting as well.

I was having a bit of trouble with the weight of my thread while stitching the circles in place, but I remembered I have some  Aurifil N.50 thread, and it worked its charm!! Not a single knot, and it was truly the perfect weight for appliqué-ing.

The soft texture of the Art Gallery Fabrics and the Aurifil thread are such a perfect match that I will be bumming when done with this project.

A pesar de lo que me encanta conversar con ustedes, me ha sido imposible subir más posts debido a la espantosa, débil y apestoza conección de internet que tengo al momento. Lo bueno es que al no poder conectarme me he concentrado en coser y en aprovechar los pequeños momentos de buena conección para mandar mis patrones alrededor del mundo. Gracias por no olvidar que mis patrones están siempre disponibles en mi tienda etsy.

Se acuerdan del post acerca de Pat Bravo?? y del quilt sin un cuter?? por supuesto que se acuerdan después de toda la controversia acerca de la palabrota que escribí en la parte en inglés * que vergüenza*.. pues he estado trabajando en este nuevo quilt y lo he disfrutado cada minuto.

Escogí trabajar con círculos otra vez y con appliqué; con la misma técnica que usé para este otro quilt. Este quilt tendrá también mucho de acolchado a mano. Estaba teniendo un poco de problema el appliqué, yo creo que tenía que ver con el grosor del hilo; recordé que tengo un hilo de Aurifil del número 50 y funcionó de maravilla, ni un solo nudo!!

La hermosa textura de las telas de Art Gallery Fabrics y los hilos de Aurifil son realmente una combinación tan fantástica que el día que se me acabe el proyecto voy a estar muy triste.

Bueno, eso es todo por hoy, estas fotos tomaron mucho tiempo en subir. Trataré otra vez mañana ya que tengo un regalito para ustedes, tiene que ver con ciertos hilos italianos ;)

Círculos! Tal como veo en tu borrador el quilt quedará fantástico. Me encantaría ver una foto del frontal entero ;)
