The circles quilt is coming slowly along. I'm still trying to manage my time between unpacking, the adjustment, and of course the fact that here is summer, and that the girls keep me extremely busy. I take minutes here and there to keep working in this quilt as well in some other projects, but this one is specially my favorite. I think it's daring enough, and quite fun not to have a pattern to follow. Tonight, I'll show you how it's progressing, and hopefully my next post will be a bit more on the process of how to make a quilt like this.
Here's another picture. I asked my daughters to seat by it so you get an idea about how big the circles are.
Are you wondering how I got to trace those big circles?? are you curious about how I placed them so flat against the fabric?? I'll share that soon.

El quilt de círculos va avanzando lentamente. Todavía estoy tratando de organizar mi tiempo entre acabar de desempacar, la transición y por supuesto el hecho de que acá es verano tampoco ayuda mucho ya que las chiquitas me tienen siempre ocupada. Me estoy tomando unos minutitos acá y allá para trabajar en este y otros proyectos, pero este es mi favorito al momento. Me parece que es atrevido y divertido ya que no necesito seguir un patrón. Esta noche les muestro algunas fotos de como luce ahora y en el siguiente post les contaré mas acerca del proceso que seguí para hacer para llegar hasta acá.
Otra foto, les pedí a las niñas que se sentaran en frente del quilt para que ustedes se den una idea del tamaño de los círculos.
Se preguntan cómo es que trace esos círculos tan grandes?? quieren saber cómo hice para acomodar los círculos tan planitos contra la tela? Les digo prontito. Mientras, les dejo el enlace al primero y segundo post acerca del proceso de este quilt.

Viste que es enorme?!?! me encantan los quilts grandes, así arropo a mis hijas bien rico, o los usamos para tirarnos en el pasto.

From this first pic I didn't realize the scale of this quilt...the picture of it with your beautiful daughters really makes a difference in the perception! It is lovely! Can't wait to see what your plans are for the quilting.

Hi Kris: I'm glad you get my point. The first pictures don't really tell you how big the circles are. I'm still thinking about the quilting. Some of it will have to be by hand, at least some of it. XO
