And off they went/ y se fueron

Yesterday was the first day of school here in Cordoba. After four months of expectation, nervousness, and boredom, we acompanied the girls through their morning routine. They salutated the Argentine flag, and listened to the national anthem for the first time. All I can say is that these kind of ceremonies never cease to confuse me; after having had three different nationalities already (not all of them at the same time though) they make me feel a bit sentimental. Then, I came back home and enjoyed a few hours by myself feeling happy for them and for me.

 

I tried not to concentrate much on house work right away, but on planning more little blocks for my tiny sampler. Much of the morning was spent on pulling out fabrics, and looking at the possiblities, I had a good time. I even planned a little series of tuts to share with you!!

Ayer fue el primer día de escuela acá en Córdoba. Después de cuatro meses de tanta espera, nervios y aburrimiento, acompañamos a las niñas en la rutina mañanera. Las chicas saludaron a la bandera Argentina y después oyeron el himno nacional por primera vez. Les cuento que para mi, después de haber tenido tres nacionalidades distintas (no todas al mismo tiempo por supuesto,) estas ceremonias no dejan de confundirme, me dan mucho sentimiento. De ahí me vine a casa y disfruté unas cuantas horas sola sintiéndome feliz por mí y por ellas también.

 

Traté de no concentrarme mucho en el trabajo de la casa, más bien me puse a planear más bloquecitos para mi muestrario. Así que pasé la mayor parte de la mañana sacando telas, viéndolas y pensando en las posibilidades, fué lindo, hasta tuve tiempo para planear una serie de tutoriales para ustedes!!
