Another random plate, more pods like the ones I made before. Maybe some day I should post the sketches I made for this. I do love drawing, I love it so much that one of my daughters wonder where do I get the patience to draw three hours straight. For me it's like meditating.

Goofing around, I made three of these plates. I saw "potential" on them all. I'll show you later how I used them.

After printing this plate with a green background, I decided to take the whole background away so that it had a white background. As I said before, it's a creative process, and so far I've been whilling to try it all. I'm pleased with it.

Last week was a very productive week. I finished this print and I printed 8 of them. There's still a lot to learn but I'm happy with the results. 

I love the prints as much as the plates, this is what is left of the black print. It was a rectangle equal in size to the green back ground.

22/52 Catching up!!

It turns out print 22/52 happens to be a back ground. I'm catching up on this printmaking posting project. What can I tell you about this print? That I was hoping I made a good registration for it so that the print that goes on top fits right in. It's on Fabrianno %50 cotton.

Dang it!! I missed by that much. That open space at the top of my print gave it all away. I like the solid black around it. One thing I did learn from this print: stick to the plan.

It's being 4 weeks without posting. Not that I didn't want to but I got kind of blocked right at this print. I hate it when it happens and even when I know I have to breath and keep working, I feel I keep "messing up." I want to believe that itsn't quite a mess, it's just a process. 

 

In the last weeks I ended up with a bunch on these random linocuts; believe it or not, I had no idea how to put them together.
