This is my birthday cake. Isn't it pretty?? It's carrot cake, no eggs or dairy in the mix...
I turned 35 years old last Saturday. And although I meant to post about it I couldn't because my family got here earlier that expected. The whole gang came from Rochester, NY (they drove for 7 hrs.!!)to celebrate with me. The funny thing was that we were able to accommodate everybody: the nine of us in our teeny tiny house. Every time we walk out we looked like one of those jokes about how many clowns can you fit in a car. My mom cooked "pozole", a traditional mexican dish. And of course we finished the night with cake and presents. We had a great time together. Then, on top of things my brothers and my mom helped me finish organizing the basement which was a a mess of gigantic proportions. I don't know how to explain it, but there is always this great feeling of having a big family. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm sure most of you have one silly brother to play with the little ones, or more like [a] little one. I guess that's why he's still the baby of the family...
I tried really hard to show you a picture of myself at 35 but I find it really hard. For some reason I just don't get along with the camera. Maybe later...
