The Christmas gifts are finished, packed, and mailed. I'm very satisfied with all that was done, and I'm happy to tell you that the recipients were quite pleased too. Now, we're off to grandma's place. Where we are to be unstressed, unwind, and spoiled, by nice weather, good food, and family.
Thank you to all of you for your comments on my last posts, they encouraged me to get this project done.

I went crazy as in "crazy quilt...."
...and then cut, cut, cut 4.5 inches squares. I added backing and batting, and I quilted them "in the ditch."
I piled them up in groups of five, tied a pretty ribbon, added yummy moo cards, and there you go: easy peasy lovely coasters!!

On my "to do" list I had a request for potholders from my dear friend Chas Davis... who is she talking about you may say. Well, Chas is a talented artist who, among other many jobs, had the one of teaching at college level. I was one of the lucky students who took his printmaking classes. Wow!! He not only taught a syllabus, but also he taught by heart about the difficulties, and joys of keeping in track in order to become an artist. My favorite stories were the ones about his daily school bus route. Yes! he drove the school bus every morning for many years!! A great artist and yet such a unpretentious character: he simply rocks!!
I wasn't going to sent him cute apple potholders, I thought something special was in order. He said he love them :)
