Remember I said I was putting some serious energy into finishing some projects? Well, I'm happy to say that last week I also finished my SGQ. Yes, the one that I hand quilted and that I was starting to love and hate at the same time.
The back of this quilt was made the night before my sewing machine was packed up in Michigan, a bit crazy. And the binding was made with all the left over fabrics from the circles in this quilt. I started this quilt in ... February, 2011! Should I ommit that piece of info?!?!
I think it's beautiful, and although my bed is a queen size bed (this quilt is twin size,) and I haven't been single for 15 years this quilt will be mine first until a fairy comes and takes it away ;)

Wow it's beautiful, I fully understand you keeping it for you! Well done, one year to make a quilt it fine, I took 7 yrs on one!

Hi Mary: I'm happy you agree with me that this quilt should be mine first. Sometimes I wish that I can produce as many quilts as some other gals here in blogland do. Oh well, I think I better concentrate in enjoying the process. XO

Wow, it's beautiful! My plan for May is to pull out the Single Girl top I completed during the quilt along last year, baste it (I've even sewn the back! Why did I stop?!) and get it quilted. Not by hand though - it would be 2015 before I was done.

Ha Ha ! A champagne finish. It looks gorgeous ...the blue is so more vibrant than the greys I have been seeing. What kind of batting did you end up using?

Thank you LibbyQ for your comment. It happens, that's why I needed to concentrate and finish them all.
@Salley. I used my usual Cream Rose batting. I packed a few bags of it with me.

it is so deliciously beautiful. I too am trying to finish mine. Well it will only be mine for a little while. My sister has lost so much in the past year, i decided this will be going to her. I do wish now though that i had decided on a more vibrant background, however mine is in white...
yours is gorgeous!!!
