Last Friday we had a birthday, my oldest turned 12.
It feels as it was yesterday when she was a baby. This is the cake I was able to bake for her; I'm showing it to you because I feel really accomplished since I've been trying for so many years coming up with an [awesome] homemade, egg free, birthday cake. This girl of mine is allergic to eggs...
It's eeg free chocolate cake, with dulce de leche filling, and Wilton's buttercream icing. I made the tiny bunting out of scraps, cute, huh!?! She picked the icing color. She was very happy with her cake and her birthday celebration.
Lucky birthday girl! The cake looks great.

Thank you ladies for your lovely comments. The cake was delish, and didn't last long. And my girl... what can I say? she's such a delight to have around, too bad she's growing up so fast. XO
