After
a long year of hard work and lots of “getting used to” all the
new things about this country, we treated ourselves to the greatest
vacation ever. We love traveling, and getting the feeling for new
places, our favorite destinations are the ones that have to do with
nature, and lots of animals to see. This time we visited Iguazu Falls
on the Argentine side.

de un largo año
de trabajo y muchas cosas nuevas que aprender para acostumbrarse a
vivir en este país,
nos dimos el gusto de tomar unas deliciosas vacaciones. Nos encanta
viajar, aprender acerca de nuevos lugares; nuestros destinos
favoritos son los que tienen algo que ver con la naturaleza y con
animales. Esta vez visitamos las cataratas de Iguazú
en el lado Argentino.
Being one of the Seven Wonders of Nature, we
not only got to visit the falls themselves but to learn a lot about
what has happened in recent years to the jungle itself and to the
almost extint animals that used to live there with a few of them left
in reservations, and very few in the wild due to the illegal trading
of these species.
Esta
vez visitamos las cataratas de Iguazú
en el lado Argentino. Siendo una de las siete maravillas de la
naturaleza, no solo tuvimos el gusto de visitar las cataratas sino
también
de aprender mucho acerca de lo que ha sucedido con el pasar de los
años
a este habitat y a los animales que ahí
solían
vivir. Algunos aún
viven en reservaciones, otros todavía
viven en la selva, y otros más
ya están
extintos debido al comercio ilegal de estas especies.
There were lots of animals I've never seen before,
like the yacare: made a famous character of children's littlerarure
in Argentina by Gustavo Roldan. Also the carpincho was present, and
my favorite of them all: the mischevous coati. These little mammals
are instopable when it comes to food. They have no problem getting
their dirty little paws in your purse in an effort to get something
good to eat.
Aprendimos
acerca de muchos animales que no conocíamos
antes como el yacaré:
personaje famoso de los cuentos infantiles Argentinos de Gustavo
Roldán.
También
conocimos al carpincho y al simpático
coatí
que fue mi favorito. Este pequeño
mamífero
no se detiene ante nada cuando se trata de comida y totalmente
desfachatado se atreve an meter sus sucias patitas en los bolsos de
la gente buscando algo rico de comer.
The
falls themselves are impresive. Hiking to the “Devil's throat,”
as well as boating close to the falls were such an adrenaline rush..
We stood there, right there at the edge the bridge. I didn't take one
minute to take a picture, all I wanted to soak in all the energy of
that moment to take it with me wherever I may go. I have no words to
describe that feeling...
La
cataratas fueron impresionanates, la caminata hacia “la garganta
del diablo” así
como el paseo en bote al pié
de las cataratas fueron adrenalina pura. Nos paramos ahí,
justo al borde del puente del la garganta del diablo, no pude tomé
ni una foto (pero mi esposo sí...)
lo único
que quise fue tratar de absorver algo de esa energía
impresionante del caudal para llevarlo en mi alma a donde quiera que
vaya. No tengo palabras para describir esa sensación...
Our
trip had a lot to do with relaxation, and de-stressing as well. In
that department Mr. 3KF is an expert. He picked us out an awesome
location where we spent most of our afternoons, and all our nights.
Not bad at all.
It
was hard to come back to reality , but I think I'll survive.
Now
it's time to get ready for the festivities.
Nuestro
viaje no excluyó
el relax y el descanso. Para esto el es experto y nos consiguió
un lugar hermoso para pasar nuestras tardes y noches. Nada mal, eh??
No
les miento, fue difícil
volver a la realidad, pero creo que sobreviviré.
Ahora
me dispongo a prepararme para las festividades.
